Unfortunately offline updates are not currently available and I don't know if they intend to bring them back or not. I suspect they may not since many of the components in Malwarebytes now rely heavily on cloud capabilities for real-time data and threat analysis rather than just signatures/locally stored databases.

im not talking about software version updates im talking about database and rules so i dont have to deactivate my license and reactivate incase i loose access to my account just because there was a software update i lost my lifetime license because of this BS
Well, sort of, yes. That file gives you database version 1893, which is pretty well out of date. I believe the latest database is something like 1979 or something like that. Basically the most recent manual update I can find thus far is too old. Anyone else know if there is a more recent manual update file?
Too bad as I sure do not desire to turn the Internet on a machine I am cleaning and installing Malwarebytes on till I am sure it's clean enough to do so. By allowing me to download the latest update manually, I can assure the computer is clean enough to now turn Internet on and register the product and download latest database.
Note: You can download the Mbam Setup which is an executable (.exe) which updates the rules.ref file automatically or you can download the updated rules.ref and just place in the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ replacing the existing rules.ref file.
